Hmmm, sometime when I was a freshman or sophomore in high school, I think... My first e-mail account was via AOL, but I was also active on local BBSes. Early 90s, I guess.
1994, but I did use university ARPANET when working in NSF institute in 1990. Also, did send messages to classmates at various computers in classes in the early 1970's. Very primitve, but we thought it was cool.
